Douglas Cebik possesses over 15 years of extensive senior management and engineering experience in the semiconductor market.  The majority of this time has been spent in the field of digital imaging.

Prior to founding Technology Research and Consulting, Douglas was Senior Director of Sales and Marketing at MediaWorks Integrated systems; a fabless semiconductor component supplier to the digital imaging marketplace.  MediaWorks supplied system on a chip (SoC) semiconductor solutions for products such as portable digital video players and recorders, digital still cameras, as well as, solid state digital camcorders, utilizing advanced image compression technologies including H.264. MediaWorks was privately held and privately funded by Telemedia Ventures.

Before joining MediaWorks, Mr. Cebik was responsible for the digital still camera product line at Pictos Technologies. (Pictos was the digital imaging business spin-off of Conexant systems. Lead funding was provided by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers.) There he established the company’s digital still camera market position, and grew its revenues to over $20M annually. Pictos was sold to ESS in 2003.

Douglas has also held technical and management positions at Conexant Systems, including the position of Senior Product Line Manager where he specified and was responsible for bringing the world's first consumer 1.3 megapixel CMOS image sensor to market. Conexant was created from the spin-off of Rockwell Semiconductor in 1999. Prior to his positions at Conexant Systems Douglas held technical positions at Analog Devices, and Mitre.

Is his free time you can find Douglas training or competing in an upcoming marathon or triathlon. Douglas has competed in several IronMan triathlon events and over 12 marathons, including Boston, Vancouver, New York, San Diego, Los Angeles, Portland, Honolulu and Hong Kong.

INTERNATIONAL FOCUS:

Throughout his career, Mr. Cebik has spent approximately 20% of his time traveling and supporting customers internationally.  This international focus has provided him a thorough understanding of international business practices resulting in the cultivation of long lasting business relationships worldwide.

Mr. Cebik is a graduate of Northeastern University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
